All members of staff that I came in contact with treated me with kindness & compassion under difficult conditions. Felt extremely safe with the security guards patrolling the department at all times.

CT results need to come back quicker.

From the time my 93 year old mother was brought in to when she was discharged we experienced an institution that is truly broken. Lack of communication both with patient's NoK and inter departments within the hospital. Spoken to by staff who gave the impression they were inconvenienced by questions asked e.g why is my mum still in pain ? answer we have a language barrier with your mum. This despite my mum crying out in pain. You truly are a number when you enter hospitals, once they 'think' they have treated you then as far as they are concerned you are taking up a valuable bed space. As a relative of a patient you have to push for answers to the most basic questions. Which brings me on to experience of staff, it was very clear that this is lacking in the areas it desperately needs.

Communicate with carers and relatives, show care and make sure your left hand knows what your right hand is doing. It's that simple.

Lots of waiting....but the quality of the service makes up for it 10 fold.

Shorter waiting times...but with the over crowded country it's as good as it could be.

Staff even under pressure with how busy it was were kind and caring. Very understanding team. The ladies on the reception desk were so lovely they really want out of there way to make sure they could help me in any way they could. I unfortunately didn't get there names but they really deserve recognition for being sure a caring team on the front desk taking the brunt of people I pain.

I was admitted to hospital via ambulance with Gallbladder pain - the crew were fabulous. I was given gas and air, then morphine, but was still in intense pain. On arrival at the hospital, a young male nurse attempted to put a catheter in my hand, but left me with a huge bruise. The second attempt in my arm, hit an artery. I recall being asked at some point, under the influence of morphine, to stop rolling around on the floor, due to being unable to sit. I was then asked to sit out in the main reception, after trying to find water. I came into the hospital about 2100 and my husband arrived at the hospital at about 0130, find me sitting on the floor. We discharged ourselves and the catheter was removed. Going home, my arm bled badly, soaking my husband’s coat. I am awaiting Gall bladder removal and am now unable to eat any food, just water or Complan. I have 5 weeks to wait until scheduled surgery.

Learn to put a catheter in, maybe, as I’m still badly bruised! I’m not one to complain normally, but I know from previous experience that I could have possibly been seated in another observation area, that was larger than the 6ft sq area with 4 patients! I was under the influence of morphine and felt very isolated.

Can't fault king George's Hospital for the fast care they gave me. Pain relief was given withing 30 minutes. I was kept informed on my treatment & plains going forward. All staff treated me with compassion & dignity.

Only thing that let this visit down was the time waiting for me to be transferred to another hospital for further treatment.

My mother was looked after in a timely fashion with care and compassion

My mother was moved from RAFT to majors in a double ward unfortunately the man in the other bed ( curtain was closed ) both on oxygen and the man decided to light a cigarette I had to call nurses and security to sort the situation out
